Our New 10th-Generation Flagship!
Intel just released the 10th-generation line of CPUs, and we’re offering the new flagship i9-10900 CPU. Performance is slightly faster than the i9-9900K found in our DPC1 (which runs at 4.9GHz across all cores), but while the 9th-generation CPUs had an 8-core/16-thread count, the new i9-10900K features 10 cores and 20 threads for even more high-end processing power with apps that can take advantage of more cores (not all audio apps do a great job of that, but if you’re doing audio for video work, you’ll easily benefit). The other big difference here is the case: this gorgeous, premium case is a little bit larger than our DPC1, or just an inch or two larger on each side than the classic Apple Mac Pro 2009-2012, but this can accommodate a pair of 2.5″ SSD drives plus an additional 6-10 2.5″/3.5″ hard drives or SSDs (vs. 2 SSD plus 3 HD/SDD in the DPC1).
NOTE: You can custom-configure this PC with a 9th-generation i9-9900K if you just want the expanded case without a need for the 10th-generation i9, but note that the new Comet Lake Intel CPUs require a new motherboard design. Systems purchased with the 9th-generation CPU can’t simply swap it out for the 10th-generation without also replacing the motherboard.
Just like the DPC1, the new DPC2 is ready for tracking and mixing right out of the box. Various options will let you expand from here should you want to start with even more memory, storage, or more powerful graphics capabilities (suggested if you regularly edit 4k video or larger). However, please note that our default configuration already includes plenty of storage to get you going. Check out the standard DPC2 specs:
Note: If you downgrade this system to the 9th-Generation i9-9900K CPU, the rear-panel ports will be the same as found on the DPC1, and not the ports illustrated below.

While many computers simply use graphics built into the CPU, they lack the performance of modern, dedicated graphics cards, and even steal the computer’s RAM for graphics instead of using their own dedicated (and faster) memory. Our DPC2 features the GeForce RTX 2060 XC with 6GB VRAM. It easily drives 3-4 displays, and can handle a wide range of video editing tasks, too, which also makes them great if you’re scoring music for film and television. And no, we won’t tell anyone if you decide to play some awesome, high-frame-rate, video games on these PCs… |

Premium Logitech keyboards and mice. Modern “gaming” keyboards provide for customization of their LED backlighting, so beyond whatever chill vibe you’re going for in your studio, you can even create custom color schemes to accompany your favorite digital audio workstation and other apps. Or, opt for more traditional keyboards with a simple fixed backlight, wired or wireless. |

When we say “base configuration,” we’re not offering you something that needs to be upgraded right out of the box. We’re offering our “minimum acceptable Different PC,” which means a PC that’s ready to tackle any project you throw in its direction.
